Minister: Reverend Janet Tyson Janet Robinson Tyson grew up in Union County and served the children of Union County as an educator. She received a BA and MA in English from Winthrop College; later, a MEd from UNCC and an EdS in Administration from Winthrop. She taught English and was later Principal of Sun Valley High School before taking early retirement to follow the call to ministry of Word and Sacrament. She graduated from Union-PSCE, Charlotte with an MDiv. Janet is the proud mother of Sam and Kathleen, and mother-in-law of Brian VonBergen. Harold, her husband, is deceased. It is Janet’s greatest joy to serve God and God’s people at Bethany. |
